Storybank is designed to respect your privacy. We build features that let you document and organize your stories while keeping control of your data.

Data ownership

Your stories and media are yours. By default, your content is stored locally on your devices. If you enable sync, Storybank connects directly to your own cloud account (Google Drive or Dropbox) to store and sync your content. We do not run servers that can access your content.

Optional sync

Sync is optional. When enabled, your data transfers occur directly between your device and your connected cloud provider under their terms and security. You can disconnect sync at any time.

Encryption

You may enable end‑to‑end encryption. When enabled, your stories are encrypted locally before anything leaves your device. Only you hold the keys.

AI features

Grammar Fix and Polish are optional tools with a free daily allowance. When used, the text you submit for improvement may be sent to an AI service solely to generate the requested edits. We do not use this content to train our models. Do not include sensitive personal information in AI requests.

Analytics and tracking

We do not include ads and do not sell personal data. If analytics are enabled, they are limited to basic, privacy‑respecting metrics to improve the product experience. You can opt out at any time.

Your choices

• Use Storybank completely offline without creating an account.
• Enable or disable sync with your own Google Drive or Dropbox.
• Export your content in standard formats at any time.
• Enable end‑to‑end encryption for additional protection.
